I am a trial lawyer and I manage our Cicero (Chicago) office. I have held this position since September, 2008. Our firm has five lawyers, of which two do primarily personal injury (myself is included), one does primarily criminal defense and two do primarily immigration law(family based). We also are involved in mass torts / product liability claims. We do not do any insurance defense or defense of self insured entities (on occasion we have represented an uninsured individual motorist (not corporation) defending himself against a subrogation claim, though we don\'t have any such cases pending). \n\n I have tried over 25 plaintiff\'s personal injury cases to verdict and oversee every injury case in our office. Our office in Cicero handles a wide range of cases ranging from MIST cases to catastrophic injury, medical malpractice cases and product liability (including mass tort, representing plaintiffs). I recently settled a burn injury case for 2.55 million (the details of which are being resolved). The Reptile was instrumental in my ability to prosecute the case. \n\n I have attended a number of Reptile seminars, including the 2012 Reptile in Voir Dire / Opening Statements (Atlanta), 2012 Reptile in Trial (St. Louis) and 2009 Welcome to the Revolution Seminar. In addition, I attended Rick Friedman\'s seminar in 2011 regarding Rules of the Road. I am a member of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association and American Association of Justice. I have published two articles 2005 "An examination of the Open and Obvious Defense to Premises Liability Cases, how obvious is Open and Obvious" (ITLA Trial Journal, Summer 2005) and "Recent Case Law on the Improper Exclusion of Expert Testimony in Illinois State Courts" (ITLA Trial Journal, Summer 2007). My practice also includes a small amount of criminal defense and family law. \n\n Prior to working for the Solis Law Firm, I worked for Benjamin and Shapiro, Ltd (Chicago) from 2003 to 2008, doing exclusively plaintiff\'s personal injury. At Benjamin & Shapiro, Ltd., I handled a variety of auto and premises liability cases. \n\n Prior to working at Benjamin & Shapiro, I was associate at Pope and Jaburek (1999 to 2002) doing Plaintiff\'s personal injury\n\n From 1997 to 1997, I worked for Simon, McCloskey & Scovell, Ltd, which did insurance Subrogation. I did approximately 25 jury trials at that firm. \n\n From 1995 to 1997 I was self employed and practiced primarily family law and employment discrimination (plaintiff side).
